Crank By Ellen Hopkins

I am rating this book 10/10!

life was good
before I met
the monster.

After,
life
was great,
at least

for a little while

Kristina Snow is the perfect daughter: gifted high school junior, quiet, never any trouble.

Then, Kristina meets the monster: crank. And what begins as a wild, ecstatic ride turns into a struggle through hell for her mind, her soul-her life.

I normally never read these types of books, in verse, or about drugs...This book is different than what I read, but it was good. I finished this 'in-verse-novel' pretty fast. The beginning confused me, since I've never read in-verse I didn't know how the dialogue worked, but after the first thirty pages, I started understanding how it worked.
My favorite part of this novel was the two-sided character, how one minute she can be Kristina and the next she's Bree.
And the ending was different also, but really good! (I don't want to say to much because I don't want to spoil anything, so for my first review I think I'm gonna keep it short.)
I will say, I am going to be reading the next book.
