Summary- Since birth, Nyx has been betrothed to the evil ruler of her kingdom-all because of a foolish bargain struck by her father. And since birth, she has been training to kill him.
With no choice but to fulfill her duty, Nyx resents her family for never trying to save her and hates herself for wanting to escape her fate. Still, on her seventeenth birthday, Nix abandons everything she's ever know to marry the all-powerful, immortal Ignifex. Her plan?...more.
I read this book in a couple days, I loved it! My favorite fairytale character is not Belle (Beauty in the beast) it is Ariel, but Belle is next.
This book, her name is not Belle, but it is Nyx, and it is an amazing novel! so many good things to say about this book! Nyx was an amazing character I loved her attitude and how she felt guilty for hating her sister, I loved how she reacted to things, and just Nyx in general.
This novel was so unique, from the characters, setting, story-line And of course Ignifex. Ignifex was/is my favorite, he kind of reminds me of Morpheus from the splintered series . . . while Ignifex does not where a fedora, he does have that Morpheus type of attitude. Kind of.
The whole time while I was reading it I was on the edge of my seat. I never wanted to put it down, and Never wanted it to end! it was so good! (I have a weird feeling that all I'm doing is repeating myself...)
My favorite part of the story would have to be when Nyx and Ignifex go to the graveyard . . . and the worst part I sadly cannot say. Hint: it has to do with the children
I highly recommend this book to people who love fairy-tale/fantasy stories! it was so amazing, and so emotional, like I said at the top . . . this novel is getting a 10 of 10 by me.
Amazing Job Rosamund Hodge!
Giant round of applause!
Goodbye for now, Luvs
