Summary- On the mysterious island of Nil, the rules are set. You have one year. Exctly 365 days--to escape or you die.
Seventeen-year-old Charley doesn't know the rules. She doesn't even know where she it. The last thing she remembers is blacking out, and when she wakes up, she's lying naked in an empty rock field.
Lost and alone, Charley finds no sign of other people until she meets . . . more
Sadly at the moment I do not own this book, but hopefully soon this month I will own Nil and Nil Unlocked (the second in the series).
I loved this book, and I say that a lot but it's true! I loved it!
Nothing bothered me about it, I loved it. Lynne Matson did a 100% amazing job! I can't wait to get Nil Unlocked so I can soon get NIL On Fire. anyways, to the rest of the review!
Let's do the characters first,
Charley- She was an awesome character and I did not relate to her in any way really. Charley is tall, I am short. Charley is smart, I am . . . eh. see where I am going with this? I did not relate to the character, buuuuuuuut she was an amazing character to follow through the story, same as Thad.
Thad- I mean, dude, he's a snowboarder on an Island. That would SUCK! and that --spoiler in parentheses-- (mountain just there with the snow mocking him). Thad was an awesome character, and an awesome leader. And come on, he was awesome. Thad and Charley were so cute together too!
That one guy- hahahaha I forget his name, but when you read it you'll know who I am talking about. The jerk you just want to stab in the eye because he is a sabotaging butt-hole who is self-centered and gets in the way, and says stupid things and you just---UGHHHH---he made me mad. But when you read, hopefully you find out who I am talking about because I completely forgot his name. but yes. JERK!
Natalie- She was my favorite because she was so nice and one of those girls you want as your best friend because how they act. She was my second favorite female character, to be honest.
So all the characters had a meaning in this story, even if you did NOT know them you knew they had a meaning.
Setting- AN Island, can it get any better? This is my first Island story HAHA. I liked how everything was described. and how the island is. I want a map of this NIL, and I need a backstory. That would be good. Like the first NIL survivors *STARES IN AWE* that would be an awesome awesome awesome Novella to the NIL series.
plot- The plot is awesome and confusing, but worth your time! I loved the whole idea (I don't really know what to put in this plot section because I don't like spoiling things for people so! I'll stop there!) just to add! I love how Lynne Matson describes everything the red rocky place, the black rock, the water, you get what I'm saying. Now I'm done here, continue on :P
All in all it was an amazing read! and I am so happy that it was recommended to me! I can not wait to read Nil Unlocked, or Nil on fire. So hopefully by the end of the month I own Nil Unlocked! and who knows I might just read it this month if I get it! <3

About the Author Lynne Matson:
Curious thing, aren't you? I like you already. :)
I write Young-Adult fiction. I'm a HUGE fan of stories that ask "what if" . . . stories with a twist on everyday life and stories that transport you to another world or future. I'm also a hopeless romantic, so I adore stories with a dash of romance. (Or heaps.) Like most writers, I write the kind of books I like to read. :)
