Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

Rating Score: 10/10

Summary- The Poverty stricken Reds are commoners, living under the rule of the Silvers, elite warriors with god-like powers.

To Mare Barrow, a 17-year-old Red girl from the Stilts, it looks like nothing will ever change.

Mare Finds herself working in the Silver palace, at the centre of those she hates the most. She quickly discoveres that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly . . .more.

When I first saw this book, I wanted it. The cover is simple, but it's what makes you want it! Just the upside down crown would make me want to read it, but with the blood dripping off of it, I mean, COME ON! who wouldn't want this? This book is gorgeous!
But I'm not here to tell you how beautiful this cover is now am I? . . . well a teensy bit *wink*

The beginning, was intrigueing, descibing her world, how the Silvers are like gods and Reds are just normal people. and then the middle--I won't say anything in-case you haven't read Red Queen yet--was when she found out but her special abilities. And I was so happy because her ability is so awesome! and then there's Cal . . .
What do I say? I mean, Mare and Cal are perfect together! but I don't even know now if they'll be together, and that makes me so sad!

The main protagonist, Mare, was perfect. It didn't seem fake to me, like how she was easily fooled at one point. I like how she seems, real. Not like a character that just figures everything out because they are smart or nothing, Mare is smart. But she is also human, and humans sometimes fail . . . but she's also dangerous.

The ending had my head spinning, I was not expecting any of it. And Maven, my head just popped, I was up at 2:45 in the morning trying to wrap my head around all this.

So would I recommend this book to anyone? DEFINETLEY! I highly recommend this book! Red Queen is amazing! The betrayal was so real also, because you seriously can not trust anyone. like . . . BOOM, they've betrayed you.

So yes! Pick this book up and read it, it was truly amazing, Luvs.
