Summary: To All the Boys I've Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.

Review-

First of all, I loved this book. I have been wanting to read it since sometime in 2014 when I first started getting into the world of non-stop reading. And I've never actually gotten the book, I'd make excuses like "I might not like it" or "I'll get it next time".
I was so excited when I bought it I sat in the car on the way home like "I'm going to read this today" and then I put it off for two months!

It's not that I didn't read it, but that I owned it and I could now read it whenever I wanted and I just wanted to put it on hold a little longer so I could read some other newer books that came out and then I'd get into the world of Lara Jean's life.

I didn't really understand where it would go when I first started reading this book, I thought many different things. Maybe nothing happens, or maybe everything happens and she has to move away from how humiliating it was.
Well, neither of those happened! And also, just so we're clear, I was team Peter the whole time. I liked Josh, I really really really did. But He is Margot's ex and I felt like Margot and Josh would get back together because they were for one, adorable together. And two, JOSH LOVES HER!

And even though I did love love love love love the Harry Potter mention for the Halloween part, I was also over in the corner agreeing with Peter. (that Josh asked Kitty to find out Lara Jeans Halloween costume so he could go with something matching, and since Lara is half asian she did Cho Chang . . . and well . . . what did Josh go as? why yes, Harry Potter indeed!). I did love that part, I just wish that maybe she would have been Peter's Mary Jane . . . if you get what I'm sayin'

Characters:  Lara Jean was a really good character, I loved her artsy personality and her vintage style. (I need to go shopping with Lara Jean). She has never been in LOVE, she has but hasn't so when things happen she get's confused. Then later on she realizes that she's not in love with certain someone (harry potter) as she thought she was and that she should really be in love with (Peter Kavinsky AKA Peter Parker) who is my favorite. I loved him in this so much!!!!! I was so upset when things didn't go as I had been planning and they went in the total opposite direction!
Josh and Margot are also on my list of favorites as long as Josh doesn't start thinking he likes a certain younger sister. *hits Josh upside head*
Kitty, I personally put Kitty at the top. She is stubborn as heck and she can keep a grunge for a LONG time. I respect that, because I can't be mad at a person longer than five minutes . . .
I've tried then ten minutes later that same person walks in and I'm like "hi". Yup, so technically I'm Like Lara Jean cause' she can't keep a grudge either!
Peter's friends were amazing! I loved the one that made Lara Jeans nickname "Large". (if you say her name fast enough it sounds like LARGE, try it!,
Lara Jean, Lara Jean, Lara Jean, Lara Jean) aha.
I really need P.S. I still love you because . . .

P.s. I still love you *holds book to chest and hisses "my precious" to everyone who passes me*

Setting:  This book is in Richmond, Virginia . . . I have no clue where that is. But that's where it is placed and I want to live there because everything in the book sounded cool, and I REALLY want to go with Peter to a selling thingy . . . whatever it is. But it looked awesome! And I would totally get along with his mum.
Large's house is big . . . at least to me. I live with nine people, and I share a bed room with my step-sister. But we call each other "Acquaintances that happen to share a room".
Lucky Lara get's her own room!
And so does the little girl that goes by the name Kitty. These kids are spoiled! but they really aren't . . . they are, but also aren't.
I went totally off track from the setting but who cares.
Anyways, onto the next subject before I start repeating myself!

Do not read highlighted section if you don't want spoilers!

I thought it was adorable when Lara Jean would talk about one of her crushes--what's his face-- and she said she wanted to go see 'how he turned out' since it had been a while and Peter kind of went protective like "I'll go with you". he got jealous, cause' he likes her.

they can be, Peter Parker and Mary Jane who looks like a manga character . . . even though Lara jean doesn't think so, I believe Lara jean would make an adorable Mary Jane. Put her next to Peter in his Spidey costume and there's no way no one would guess a manga character! And it would make someone JEALOUS! well two people.

Like I was saying though, Peter was getting jealous. And I was so squealy because that means he likes her and that there is a chance they will end up together . . . if they don't... Jenny Han, I will have to have a LONNNNNNNNNNG talk with you when I see you! because Peter and Lara are just supposed to be together! I don't care how cliche it seems! it's just SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN! I needs to happen!

If you are wondering why I gave it an 8/10 star that is because the ending DID not go as I had thought it would and that made me so sad! I took a two day break of reading actually!
I was so upset that it did not happen how I wanted it to that I had to not read for two days. The ending was still really good! I was happy how it ended not completely happy, but if in the end of book two things go my way I will be happy.
Jenny Han did a fabulous job writing this story and I will definitely be looking forward to her other series! <3
